You were always awesome, and it's excellent that you're still not many 'alive' like so many are but *writing* -- and in China, wow. Consider yourself hugged, and please do tell us about "lots going on." :)
I wasn't fishing for complements or hugs, but they're always better than a kick in the head. Your article sure made me smile. Thanks for remembering... and I do wonder what ever happened to Hairy.
Also I love "Buenos Diaz" -- snappy title.
I'm gonna put your blog into my regular surf cycle and re-read your old entries, cuz they're *good*, Gloria. Looking forward to anything new too, when you have the time. Peace over and out, as the kids say these days.
Lots of material on EdgeofGloria, so I think you'll laugh, you'll cry, and wonder what the hell is going on!!!!! LOL!
I'm glad you enjoyed my column on Pathetic Life. I miss the 90s.

I don't post so much on EdgeofGloria, but I have been checking out the stats, and SOMEONE must be reading it...I can't believe some of the numbers of post views! I don't think I'm so "edgy" anymore, and I think I'm not as angry anymore, but I'm sure glad you came across my blog and reached out!!!!
Thanks for the links to where you really are, and I just learned how to ride the Chinese subway from your YouTube page. Made me want some kung pow chicken. I wouldn't have the app to snap a picture of the QR code, though. I'm not a smart phone guy.
In exchange for your helpful links, here's me briefly talking about you a few days ago. https://www.itsdougholland.com/2022/09/is-that-all-it-takes-to-make-myself-ass.html
I'm sorry. I told myself I would update this blog on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but I missed my deadline by 15 minutes. I wanted to grade papers before I got online, and it took me a bit longer. I AM sorry. Hope you enjoy this post. ----------------------------- Depending on your viewpoint, Jim Goad is an amazing writer with an eventful life, or he's a mean, hateful man. I have to thank Jim and Debbie Goad as influencing my 'zine “Angry Young Woman.” I knew I wanted to write something edgy, but wasn't sure where to begin. Then I picked up “Answer Me!” number three and I knew. I could write about whatever the hell I wanted. That's what Jim and Debbie did. They wrote about suicides. They wrote about handicapped kids who made their own music. They wrote about Suzanne Muldowney, a performance artist. And lots more stuff. Timothy Leary. Russ Meyer. And in earlier issues, they wrote about serial killers and mass murderers. They talked to Anton LaVey. They wrote abou...
Back in the glorious 1990s, Sarah-Katherine published a 'zine called Pasty. It was one of the best ones of the perzine genre. She talked about coffee and food and a sex party and checking out the jail and getting drunk for science. We got to know each other via mail. Yours truly published a 'zine called Angry Young Woman. We traded 'zines, and I also got 'zines from other talented writers. Well, Sarah-Katherine got a legit publishing deal and went on to publish Indecent: How I Fake it and Make it as a Girl For Hire and Sex and B acon: Why I Love Things That are Very, Very Bad For Me . A review on Sex and Bacon will be coming from me . Indecent sounds awesome too, and as a repressed Catholic girl, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Sarah-K's latest publishing venture is about being in rehab. If you loved her 'zine, you'll love Rehab A Go-Go . I know I did. Sarah-Katherine is a hell of a writer. Entertaining, funny, philosophical. She's talented and ...
A couple weeks ago, I felt the need to consume a cinnamon roll. I had one, but it wasn’t enough. I went to Meijer and tried a “Cinncredible,” a box of cinnamon rolls. They had two sizes there, a smaller one for one person or a couple, and a family version. I have to say it’s the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my life. The icing must have been at least a half-inch thick, if not three-quarters of an inch thick. Cinncredible is only available at Meijer’s. It’s nice to know that Wal-mart doesn’t hog all the stuff. Cinncredible is totally worth it.

Very glad you are still out there too! Thanks for the hug--here's one back out to you!!!
